What you receive in writing before deciding

The hospital's treatment opinion

What the hospital's doctors recommend, based on your reports.

A written cost estimate

The hospital's estimate for the treatment it recommends.

Both come before you make any decision or travel. Asking for them carries no obligation.

Common questions

My doctor says I need a bypass or a stent. Can an Indian hospital review that?

Yes. Send your angiography report, and the images if you have them. The hospital's cardiology team gives a written treatment opinion, which you can discuss with your own doctor.

Can I fly for heart treatment?

That is a question for your own doctor. Tell your coordinator about any travel limits your doctor gives you, so the hospital knows about them too.

Can a family member travel with me?

Yes. Up to two people — usually close family members — can apply for India's e-Medical Attendant visa, which is linked to your medical visa. Your coordinator explains the steps.

Can Meridian help in an emergency?

No. Meridian helps with planned treatment. If you have chest pain or other urgent symptoms, contact your local emergency services immediately.
